The CSB is deploying a team to investigate the fire event that occurred yesterday at the Evergreen Packaging Mill in Canton, NC. It was reported that at approximately 5:15 a.m. EDT on Monday September 21, 2020, a fire occurred in a tank that was being repaired during a planned maintenance event at the facility. Two contractors were fatally injured.
